When The Healdsburg Museum approached me for advice on how they might organize their first ever art show, I was flattered and, of course, very helpful. Before too long, my painting, Transitions, was on the banners and postcards used to advertise the “Sense Of Place” exhibit featuring historic landscape paintings juxtaposed with contemporary paintings both depicting our unique area. I helped judge and curate what turned out to be a very successful exhibit.
This spring I participated in the 9th Plein Air Convention held in San Francisco. Over eight hundred artists convened to learn and paint together. We were bused to a few different locations to paint and spent the rest of the time watching demos and listening to lectures. I enjoyed painting the iconic Golden Gate Bridge for the first time.
I’m excited to say that we have redesigned my website. It has been about 4 years since the last redesign, and we wanted to give a simpler, less confusing, and faster website experience. The new site will be very easy to browse and quickly view paintings. I hope you like it as much I do.
We already harvested our organically grown Viognier for another Sparkling Wine. The excitement of our 2019 Harvest and ArtTrails Open Studios has begun. You are invited to come out to my studio in the Dry Creek Valley!

As grapes need sunshine for photosynthesis in their leaves, water for their roots, self-pollination, tendrils, and finally a person to harvest each one, so too does my painting need time and materials, history, tremendous effort and me to produce each brush stroke. Through my painting, I’ve learned that everything has some sort of connection and it takes time and discipline to make it grow.
Thank you for your continued support and interest in my work.
