Art Trails Sabbatical
Not much rain this year, but plenty of art! I am taking a one year sabbatical from Art Trails and will not be participating this year. However, my studio is always open so please call and drop by if you are out in my area. I will participate again in 2016. Also, I always hang my newest pieces in our Hawley tasting room gallery in Healdsburg.

My Art on Scarves at Clutch
This year has been very productive. I have licensed four images to the new owner of Clutch in Healdsburg. She has printed them onto luxurious pure silk satin shawls or large scarves. I’m so pleased with the quality of the colors and the high end contemporary look. They will be released in the store, not by me, in November and come in their own unique wood veneer box!. www.Cluthchhealdsburg.com

Wine Expo Cover
The Wine Expo has used one of my paintings on their 2015 catalog cover.

Palette Party Art Classes
My Palette Party art classes have become so popular with regulars coming back each month that the classes are often sold out a month in advance. We have a website and Facebook presence. www.paletteparty.co

Continuing to Love and Paint Life
After spending months in the studio working on commissions, I loved getting out into the fresh air, sometimes actually wind!, to paint plein air in Mendocino and the High Sierra. When painting out doors, on location, I am forced to emphasize and concentrate on the essence of what first attracted me to the place while at the same time try to balance the nuances of color and delicacy, wildness and coarseness. These qualities and contradictions I love because they reflect my life and connection to nature.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in my work. Please take the time to check out my new website, it’s mobile friendly now too!! https://danahawley.com
